PHP Learning : 1st Day Tutorial Class

Hi Friends.
From couple of days, I am thinking about to learn PHP. And finally today was my 1st Tutorial Class of PHP. I am getting PHP training from my College friend +Noor Ali Butt. As he is good in development and C++ as I know. I visited many software housed in Lahore, Pakistan. But I could not find a good one. Finally my friend Noor agreed to support me and teach me.
He told me many new things which I am going to describe here.

What I know in programming languages exactly?

I told him, I don't know enough about programming languages but little bit about HTML and CSS just.
He asked me about Java language but I don't know about it.
Then he started to give his lecture as I am going to describe here.
He gave me the concept of programming languages. As we all know PHP, Ajax, ASP etc. are Programming languages but he distinguished about these languages and told me about scripting language and programming languages like "Programming language can do its tasks automatically, it does not need to occur any event" but "Scripting language cannot do its tasks automatically without occurring any event".
He told me about Platform Dependant and Cross-Platform. As a software which can run on multiple Operating systems, is a Cross-Platform just like php language, html language etc.. On the other side if software is designed for specific Operating system, then it is called Plate form dependant as VLC software.
He told me about open source program. As if a program or software is available for free of use, modify, download, edit, study then it is open source program. just like Linux, Mac.
He also told me history of PHP like

PHP History:

as you can see PHP was build in 1994. At that time it was a CGI binaries in the C Programming language as 1st version of PHP. It was upgraded in 1995 and its abbreviation was "Personal Home Page Tools" as 2nd version. It was again upgraded in 1998 and its name was kept "PHP: Hypertext Preprocessor" as 3rd version. in 2000 some updates occurred in it as Version 4.4.6 on March 1, 2007. After that Version 5 was released on 2004 and its second and latest PHP 5.2.1 Version was released on February 8, 2007.

What PHP can do?

1. With PHP you have command to do many things like.
2. As you can create new and unlimited dynamic pages
3. You can add, delete, modify, edit them easily with full access.
4. You can create new users accounts to access limited data
5. You can encrypt your data or website
6. You can add restrictions for users for specific locations on site.
7. You can send and receive cookies and can make your database
8. You are not limited on HTML as need to show output.
9. You can do it with PHP also like to show images, movies, files, and more
10. You can receive data from specific Form.

Some Needs To Run PHP:
There are some requirements to run PHP just like

• Web server (apache)
• PHP software
• Database (Mysql)
• Text editor
• Web browser

As we can use XAMP for Web Server (Local Server)
But we'll work on Wamp as Windows professional

1. Wamp Server (windows appache mysql php )
2. Mamp (mac appache mysql php )
3. Lamp (linux appache mysql php )
4. Xamp (cross appache mysql php )
